CASTANO PRIMO – A few nights ago a dog instructor of a dog training centre between Castano Primo and Magnago noticed a large common buzzard who clearly was in difficulty. He immediately reported it to the local Police Command of Castano. However, there was no trained staff available because of the late hour and the summer reduced timetable. So, a police officer, who was familiar with the local wildlife, was alerted by the office and he was able to rescue the bird with the help of a local falconer. It was a young buzzard (as shown in the picture).
Soon to be set free
The next morning a patrol of the local Police transferred the bird to the Wild Animals Recovery Centre in Vanzago, where the buzzard will remain until complete recovery. In order to protect the specimens that nest in the woods near Castano and safeguard their permanence, it was required to re-introduce the raptor into the same natural environment. This way he will soon return to majestically fly over the skies.
