GALLARATE “War Is For The Stupid”. This is Andrea Crespi’s signature on the gigantic message that has appeared on the iconic giant screens of New York’s Times Square until September 11. It is yet another recognition for the artist, originally from Cavaria con Premezzo in the province of Varese, which in recent months is getting more and more acclaim from the public and critics.

War is for the stupid

The work Nft (Non-Fungible Token) is titled “Propaganda”.  «For me this is a great opportunity to launch a strong message to the world», says Crespi, an artist who loves to experiment, through a constant search for different media, from the more physical, traditional ones such as acrylic, to the digital ones. These led him to an important spot in the international panorama of cryptoart with Nft works.

His recognizable style is a new pop interpretation of optical art. He has been involved in numerous collaborations for famous fashion brands (Adidas is the last on the list) and does not miss an opportunity to support important social causes. In Gallarate, where he exhibited one of his works at the Maga, he gave the Ukrainian children who escaped from the war a box of crayons to colour a copy of “Imagine”, his work dedicated to John Lennon.
